September – The Wonders of Praise

Categories: Word of the Month

Calvarygreetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has made it possible for us to come to the month of September.  This is the season of manifestations and therefore, the Almighty God has declared to us that this is our season to testify of the Wonders of Praise.  Get ready to encounter God in a new dimension in Jesus name. Psalm 16:11 says in His presence there is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forever more. When you worship God it stirs up God’s compassion on men.

Praise is an expression of worship. It is a demonstration of admiration for something or somebody. The Bible in Isaiah 30:29-30 says “Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the mighty One of Israel. 30 And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.” Praise is one of the most powerful spiritual weapons. Praise is the spiritual medium through which God takes over our battles.  In 2 Chronicles 20:15-17, Jehoshaphat was instructed to tell Judah to set themselves together, and as they do what they are commanded, God said they will watch Him in action as he personally takes over the battle. May be you have tried your best and things are not working the way you anticipate.  When God takes over then the battle is over. I don’t care what forces are assigned against you; you are having a walkover as you engage in vibrant praise in Jesus name.  Praises set captives free from bondage as was the case of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:19-29.  Know that vibrant praises provokes God’s manifold presence.

Praising and worshiping God is a show of reverence, love devotion and honour to God. God desires the praises of His people.  In fact, Psalm 22:3 says Our Most High God inhabits the praises of His people. Therefore, praising God brings down the presence of God. Praise is not a religious entertainment. It is a spiritual weapon of war. Praise is a spiritual weapon that passes your battle to God. Praise is not feeling good.  It is a stirring of God into action.  If you want the unusual to occur in your life, then engage in wild and vibrant praises.  In the midst of this, God will make you ride upon your high places. Praise is a spiritual weapon that provokes divine visitation and intervention, culminating in divine manifestations.

In all, we are encouraged in Philippians 4:4 to rejoice in the Lord always and again rejoice.  Psalm 33:1 also admonishes us to sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous for it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  The Bible says men ought to praise the Lord (Psalm 107:8) and beyond this to worship Him in the beauty of holiness (Psalm 96:9). May your praises be acceptable unto Him in Jesus name.
