Calvary greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has made it possible for us to come to the month of March – our season of Manifesting His Glory in our year of Great Abundance. In this month, we are expectant of experiencing the fullness of The Trinity. As a family, we have begun our annual Forty Days of Glory as we conclude the 100 day fast. This is a season of developing deeper intimacy with God. May your strength be renewed like the eagle and may every yoke that has denied you from manifesting the fullness of God’s glory be broken in your life in Jesus’ mighty name (Isaiah 40:31; 58:6).
The Bible says in Romans 8:19 “for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” So what does it take to manifest God’s glory which is a reality? More succinctly, who is in charge of the reality of God’s glory over your life? Reality is that which is real, authentic, genuine and true. Reality is rooted in our belief system whether we consider something true or not. This brings to fore the question, what is the glory of God? Some say it is a divine energy force that floats in the atmosphere – something ethereal or mystical. The glory of God goes beyond these things. The glory of God is His character and His divine nature; it is the very essence of His presence.
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God’s glory: “The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command …” (NLT). When God’s glory shows forth, the true, weighty presence of God is being released into our lives. The Hebrew word for this glory of God is ‘kabod’ and it literally means the abundant riches, glory, splendour, and honour of God. The root word this comes from indicates a literal weight. Therefore, the glory of God is a tangible presence of weighty, abundant riches, honour and power.
The Bible reveals that Moses experienced the glory and witnessed this tangible presence of God. In Exodus 19:9, 16, it says: “The Lord said to Moses, ‘I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you.’ … On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast” (NIV). Again in Exodus 33:18 after Moses had requested to know Him better, God gave him a divine assurance. The Almighty God proved Himself as truly The God of glory. May God arise for you too this season in Jesus’ name.
In Revelation 12:7-9, the Bible declared that “… there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. 8 And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. 9 This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels” (NLT). Satan is contending with the purpose of God for your life here on earth since its displacement from heaven. Apostle Paul admonished us to then fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:12). Therefore, in manifesting His glory here on earth, prayer is central in determining how far you would go. Be prepared to engage in spiritual warfare but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Again, the Scripture in Psalm 115:16 says “The heaven of heavens is for God, but he put us in charge of the earth” (The Message). Therefore, if you don’t like what is happening on earth, it is your fault. The legal authority on earth is in the hands of humankind. Hence Genesis 1:26 says man should have dominion over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. God said man should have dominion over all creatures. The power to reign in that guise has been delegated to you hence Jesus said in Luke 10:19 that “look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (NLT). It is my prayer that you will show forth God’s glory in every aspect of your life in Jesus’ Name.
