Calvary greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has made it possible for us to come to the month of July. The Almighty God has declared unto us that every chain that has held us bound shall be broken. Therefore, do not allow the situations of life to cage you or put you down. In this month, the Lord will perfect all that concerns you in Jesus name. The Almighty God will move in your life and do a new thing this season like never before in Jesus name (Isaiah 43:19).
By the word chain, we mean something or situation that binds or restrains. There is the chain of timidity; shackles or fetters to place a prisoner in chains or bondage; a series or succession of events that limit one’s progress or a range of mountains or oppositions. In Acts 12:1-19 the Bible describes how Peter was bound with two chains with soldiers keeping charge at the door of the prison. He was held captive at the instructions of king Herod but an angel of the Lord came and set him free. In the case of Paul and Silas while in prison, they prayed and there was a divine earthquake that caused the prison doors to open (Acts 16:25). Therefore, it is my prayer that you will not faint and succumb to the pressures of life this season in Jesus name. You will overcome every battle and be free from every yoke of depression, oppression, obsession and possession in Jesus name because Our Saviour, Jesus Christ has paid the price in full at the Cross where He declared that “It is finished” (John 19:30).
We are reminded of the story of the children of Israel in captivity and slavery. After spending so many years in pain and agony, God granted them freedom (Exodus 12:31-36). By the time they were leaving for the journey to the Promised Land, they had favour from even their Egyptian masters. Therefore, I decree over you that for every shame you shall receive favour in Jesus name. We are also told of a story about a woman called Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 -2 whose womb was shut and therefore was barren for years and thereby suffered shame and was ridiculed by her mate, Peninnah. The Bible in 1 Samuel 1:6 records that her situation was even caused by The Most High God. All the same, Hannah didn’t give up on God and at the end had a baby by the reason of a divine word (1 Samuel 1:17). It is my prayer that as you open up your heart to receive from His Word this season, His Word will become flesh in your life and you shall testify in Jesus name (John 1:14; John 17:8).
Strive to draw close to Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Know that Jesus is the truth that sets us free (John 8:32). He frees us from the consequences of sin, from self-deception and deception by the enemy. He shows clearly the way to eternal life with God. Remember Jesus does not give us freedom to do what we want, but freedom to follow God. As we seek to serve God this season more passionately, the perfect truth of Jesus shall free us from every chain to know who God really is.
