Calvary greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has made it possible for us to come to December, the last month year 2010 – The Year of the King! Here in Chapel of Grace, the Almighty God declared to us amongst several things that this is our Year of Abundance! The King of Kings has manifested Himself as the God of increase and favour (Psalm 102:13). We began the year with celebration and we give Him thanks for all He has done for us and for how much He will still do for us this year. Therefore, I welcome you all to a season of honouring this Most High God who has been faithful to His Word in our lives and church. His awesome glory will see you through this month and your joy shall be full in Jesus Name (Psalm 16:11).
The Holy Scriptures in Genesis 14:22 states that Abraham (then Abram) describes God as “The Most High, the Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth” (AMP). He is Jehovah El-Elyon who ruleth in the kingdom of men and giveth it to whomsoever he will (Daniel 32:4). He is Most High over heaven and earth (Genesis, 14:19; Psalm 83:18). He is also most high over all other gods. Ps. 97:9 states “for thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.” In fact, He is most high over kingdoms and nations. Deuteronomy 32:8 states “When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.” In Daniel 4:17, the bible states that “… the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” This season the Most High will lift you up and honour you in Jesus name.
Therefore, just as we began in the beginning of the year with celebration, we must continue, for this Most High God is worthy of all blessings and praises for He is also an awesome God. The psalmist says in Psalm 47:2 “for the Lord Most High excites terror, awe, and dread; He is a great King over all the earth.” Remember that He is also omnipresent and cannot be confined to a single location, he exists everywhere (Acts 7:48- 49). He can part your Red Sea for there is absolutely nothing that He cannot do (Jeremiah 32:27).
Brethren, let me rejoice with you for the fact that we have been able to discover the purpose of God for us this year. What is left is to live it and all shall be well with us. He gave us a promise that we shall hear good news (Isaiah 40:9) and you will enjoy His covenant of peace (Ezekiel 37:26). Also that you will sing a new song (Isaiah 42:9-10) and this shall be your year of unparalleled testimonies (Psalm 19:7). He also has promised that you will see His glory (Exodus 33:18). Let’s glorify the Most High by giving Him quality thanks and praise.
In all, He expects us to walk in His righteousness (Psalm 112:9) so that we will be candidates of great honour (Esther 8:15). You will end this year a victor and not a victim of circumstances in Jesus name. For as many that will be faithful to His word, I decree over your lives that the greatest breakthrough of your life will come to your home this year and you shall live a life of His fullness (3 John 2; 1 Cor. 2:9)!
