Calvary greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has made it possible for us to come to the month of August. In this month of new beginnings, the Almighty God has declared unto us that He will prove Himself as The Unshakable God. Therefore, do not be afraid no matter the storms that may come your way. Hold fast to the truth you have known and you shall not falter. Peace shall be still in Jesus name and you shall testify of the Lord.
To be unshakable means to be utterly firm, unwavering and without flaws. It is a truth that everything in creation eventually fades but a higher order of reality that is understood by believers, through faith, is eternal. He is the Rock of Ages that never fades or fails. Isaiah 26:3-4 says “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” This God is always reliable and dependable. Hebrews 13:8 says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” The Psalmist also says that from everlasting to everlasting, He is God (Psalm 90:2). He is a faithful God.
Understandably, Isaiah 28:16 says “… this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.” This foundation stone is Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Psalm 118:26 says that this ‘foundation stone’ would be rejected. Our hope and salvation lies in Jesus Christ, the True Rock. Conversely, in God’s message to the City of Tyre we see the destruction of false rocks (Ezekiel 26:3-6). This city of Tyre is used as Satan’s stronghold. Therefore, I decree that every false rock you are standing on or residing in your life that has limited you to achieve the full potential of God is uprooted in Jesus name. In its place, the Lord will establish His glory (Ezekiel 26:20). Shout hallelujah!
The Bible in Hebrews 12:28-29 declares that “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.” This admonishes us that His kingdom is unique because it is spiritual in nature; everlasting because its King is the Eternal One and it is all encompassing which includes those in heaven and on earth. It clearly contrasts that which is earthly and tangible with what is heavenly, and that which can be shaken with what is fundamentally unshakable. Therefore, trust in God’s Word which says “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35). Stand on His Word and you shall not be shaken.
In all, know that it is in God’s nature that He shall never change (Malachi 3:6). All that God is, He has always been; all that He has been and is, He will ever be. His character, His essential being, which is love, holiness, faithfulness, power, wisdom, and so much more! In this world where men forget us, change their attitudes toward us, revise their opinions of us for the slightest cause, but isn’t it wonderful to know that we have a God who does not change? He is Available. He is Accessible. He is Awesome! He is Unshakable! Believe in His Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and victory shall be yours.
