APRIL – The Next Level

Categories: Word of the Month

Calvary greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who at the beginning of this Year of the King, declared unto us amongst several things that this is the year that we will see His glory (Exodus 33:18). Therefore, I welcome you all to April, our month of The Next Level.

The Scripture states clearly in Matthew 17:1-2 thus, “Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.”  Our Lord took them up on a high mountain. He was taking them to their next level of learning; their next level of Christian experience; of development; of personal growth and intimacy.  But notice, He had to lead them up on the high mountain for them to go to the next level.

When God lifts you up He takes you up for a reason. “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).  God is preparing us as a church to cross over and take charge. We are going over; we are going up; we are going to the next level. We have come thus far and it is not over, rather our best days are ahead.  Like God declared unto us in the latter part of last year, the best of testimonies are coming to us this year.  Get ready for a supernatural encounter and upliftment.  You are going to your next level and nothing will be able to stop you.  You will soar as the eagle.

In Deuteronomy 28:13, the Bible declares that “… the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; ….”  Therefore, get ready to arise and shine now that the glory has been unveiled.  Your destiny lies at the next level. So we must go to the next level to discover a deeper relationship with God; a closer walk; a greater intimacy and a personal breakthrough.  Staying where we are will only frustrate us for we are born again to grow. We are born again to reach our fullest potential in God.  The reality is that, the mountain is a place of prayer.  The Scripture tells us that as Jesus prayed He was ‘transfigured.’  Your mountain encounters will prepare you to overcome your valley experiences.  Moses did, Elijah did and so did Jesus Christ.

Therefore, it is very important you are genuinely connected to the God of The Next Level.  It is said that charisma will take you up to the top but it is your character that will sustain you there.  Imbibe the character of Jesus Christ today by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour.  I will see you at the next level of glory this season in Jesus name.

Shalom,

Dr. Akpo Onduku
